“You've gotta dance like there's nobody watching,
Love like you'll never be hurt,
Sing like there's nobody listening,
And live like it's heaven on earth.”
~ William W. Purkey
“To live is the rarest thing in the world. Most people exist, that is all.”
Jesus spares no feelings in making His point that our words matter—to Him, to us, and to the entire universe.
He used this power to create the beautiful, and the breathtaking.
The words that heal the world lie not only within the power of God; that power has been imparted to you and to me as well.
Our tongues can fashion a world of encouragement and redemption, or our tongues can bring down kingdoms and crush the hopes of the smallest child.
Jesus says this:
36 And I tell you this, you must give an account on judgment day for every idle word you speak. 37 The words you say will either acquit you or condemn you.” Matthew 12:36, 37
One of the things I have learned as a Pastor is less is more. Sometimes it is better to let a passage of Scripture stand alone, than to risk lessening its impact by too much commentary.
I choose this approach for today's verses. Let the verses above sink in, I give you pause to consider them.
I love you all,
Go give em Heaven.
